Katherine Anne Koch

Katherine Anne Koch (nee Cole) of Cleveland, OH succumbed to cancer on April 2, 2018. She grew up in Chillicothe, OH and met her husband while in college near Cincinnati, OH. They raised their two sons in Greeneville, TN, South Euclid, OH and later Cleveland, OH. Kathy loved to learn and to help others to learn. Mid-life she converted one of the bedrooms into a study and started her graduate education to go on and become a Registered Dietician and Lactation Consultant, and for the following 24 years taught others better nutrition at the Metro Health clinics. As a devout Catholic she donated her enthusiasm and time to RCIA, being a Eucharistic Minister for the sick, and co-founding the Healing Prayer Ministry. Additionally she led family trips to countless museums, gardens, historic sites, and locations to trace family history across the eastern states and Europe. We’ll never forget Colonial Williamsburg 2017. Kathy embraced life and friendships. Throughout her life, in both Tennessee and Ohio, she was a Chapter Regent in the Daughters of the American Revolution and active in local book and doll clubs. Her enthusiasm for Christmas traditions created lasting fond memories. Kathy is survived by her husband Stan, her sons Eric and Greg, and many dear cousins and in-laws. Memorial Mass to be held at the Shrine Church of St. Stanislaus, 3649 E. 65 St. Cleveland, OH 44105 on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 11 A.M. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery on a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Gathering Place, Beachwood, OH.
