MARY LOU RITA CASSELL, (nee Pertz), was taken into the arms of our Lord on Jan. 18, 2017 at the age of 78. She fought hard to be the best person that she could be after suffering a massive stroke, and continued to spread joy to those around her. She lived her life serving others, and was devoted to the Blessed Mother. She was born in Cleveland, OH to the proud parents, Louis and Josephine Pertz. Beloved wife of the late John; dear mother of Susan (Dr. Chris) Arismendi, Joseph (Lynne), Jeffrey (Julie), James and John: loving grandmother of Thomas, Tyler, Logan, Bailey, Riley, Brodie, Chris and Betsy; great grandmother to Mykola, Sophia, Henry and Sebastian; dear aunt and great aunt. Funeral Mass 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017 at Mary Queen of the Apostles Church, 6455 Engle Rd., Brook Park, (please meet at church). Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
