Alice H. Halupnik

Alice H. Halupnik, age 94, died peacefully May 21, 2020, at Medina Hospital from complications of Covid 19. She was born on October 15, 1925 to John and Elizabeth Francis in Zelienople, PA. After growing up in PA, she moved to Ohio where she worked for the Navy Finance Center in Cleveland. She met Joseph B. Halupnik there and they were wed Sept. 20, 1952. Her purpose in life was to be a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, relative and friend. She led an active life, chasing 6 children, swimming and riding her bike even into her 80’s. She and Joe enjoyed traveling to many states to visit relatives and friends. They especially loved attending their family’s celebrations, sporting events, musical performances and other activities. She was very proud of all of their accomplishments. Formerly of Parma, Alice was a long time member of St. Columbkille where she volunteered at the school and cleaned the church for many years. A strong Catholic faith helped her look past pain and problems by ‘giving it up to God’. All who knew Alice saw what a kind and loving person she was. We all remember her wonderful smile and are blessed to have her in our lives. She now is in heaven smiling bigger than ever and dancing the polka with her hubby Joe. She will be deeply missed by her children; Cynthia Lowther, Joseph, Jr., Kathleen, Janet Murray (Christopher), John (Meri) and Michele Beyer (Robert). Grandmother of Stephen, Jr. (Mary), Daniel, Mary Lowther, Anne Marich (Paul), Brian and Molly Murray, Cody, Griffin and Emily Beyer, Brandon and Jenna Halupnik. Great grandmother of Rachel, Victoria, Grace and Sophia Lowther, Michael and Sylvia Gallagher and Frankie Marich. Alice was preceeded in death by her parents, her husband, son-in-law Stephen Lowther, Sr. and her nine siblings. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to your favorite charity.
