ANNAMARIE HASSELBUSCH, (nee Matuszak) peacefully passed away on July 8th, 2025, at the age of 65. She was a cherished mom to Danielle, Derek (Tayler), Devon (Ashleigh), and Dustin; a loving grandma to Decker and Tenley; a beloved sister to Missy (Darren) and Carrie (Kevin); a dear cousin and friend to many. But above all, being a mom was her most important role.
Annie was born on August 30th, 1959, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Jerome and Dorothy Matuszak.
Throughout her life, Annie was known for her strength and resilience. Annie was a devoted woman, who enjoyed attending St. Stanislaus with her sisters. In her later years, Annie found joy in simple pleasures. She often visited Edgewater Park and Taps & Tails, enjoying walks and quality time with her beloved doodle, Archie. She treasured moments with her granddaughters, often crafting, taking them on lunch dates, and on special trips to the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. Her love of traveling led Annie to make meaningful trips to Las Vegas, Texas, Niagara Falls, and she fulfilled a lifelong dream by visiting Hawaii for her 60th birthday.
A Mass in Anna’s honor will be held at 10 a.m. on August 30th, 2025, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. A Celebration of Life will follow at 2 p.m. at Merwin’s Wharf. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to www.paypal.com/paypalme/dhasselbusch.
