CATHY PYTEL (nee Rak), age 85. Beloved wife of Steve (deceased) for 64 years; loving mother of Mark (Diana), Mickey (Christina) and Marty (Anita); cherished grandmother of Jeremy (Kim), Brandon, Zachary (Megan), Colin (Bekkah), Lauren and Matthew. Great-grandmother to Jack, Lily and Elliott. Beloved sister of Steve (Lee) Rak, Jeanette (Wally) Prusak (both deceased) and Alan (Ellen) Rak. Dear aunt and friend to many.
Cathy enjoyed puzzles, cards with friends, BINGO and game shows. In addition to raising three boys born in 10 months, Cathy worked several jobs throughout her life, all about a mile from home, including National City Bank, Children’s Palace and Parma Hospital.
Funeral Mass to celebrate Cathy’s life will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 6750 State Road, Parma, 44134 on Saturday, March 1, at 9:30 AM, (please meet at church) with interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 14609 Brookpark Road, Brook Park, 44142. The family will receive friends for visitation at GOLUBSKI FUNERAL HOME, 5986 RIDGE ROAD, PARMA, 44129 on FRIDAY, February 28, 2025, from 5–8 PM.
