July 20, 1948 – May7, 2026-
CHRISTINE R. BLANKENSHIP (nee Schmidt), 77, passed away May 7, 2026, surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Loving mother of Kristi Terry (Tony), Melissa Blankenship and Mike Blankenship (Marie); cherished grandmother to Derek, Jayson, Anthony, Jordyn/Tae, Nicholas, Kiley, Connor and Piper. Chris fought long and hard to recover for herself, and for her family and friends. She is now reunited and rests with her parents and siblings who she missed dearly.
Like all of us, Chris was not perfect. Love it or hate it, she was a woman who bit her tongue for no one and never changed who she was. She could be sarcastic and blunt, but she loved her family deeply and wanted nothing more than to keep traditions alive for her future family generations. Because of that, her children and grandchildren will carry her forward.
We are only guaranteed one thing with the blessing of life, and that is, unfortunately, the end of it. No matter our strength, will, effort, or desire, eventually the sand runs out for each of us.
