Daniel Francis Wittman, age 90, of Summerville, South Carolina, beloved husband of Donna Katherine (nee Lickvar), passed away Friday, October 1, 2021, in Summerville, South Carolina. He was the dear father of Timothy (Lisa), Mary Steuber, Terrence (Edi), Deirdre Rowe (Tim) and Mark. Grandfather of seven grandsons. Dear brother of Joan Johnson, Celine Williams and Karen Tichler (Tom) and the following deceased: Sister Claire Ellen of the Poor Clares Order and Richard.
Mr. Wittman was born in 1931, in Cleveland, OH, son of the late Frederick Wittman and Julia Dubaviki Wittman. Mr. Wittman graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science at Adelbert College of Western Reserve University. Mr. Wittman enjoyed golf, traveling, and tennis. He enjoyed food and loved his wife’s cooking. He was Past President of Cleveland Junior Chamber of Commerce, Cantor at St. Francis at Medina, OH and at St. Francis by the Sea in Hilton Head Island, SC, former Vice President and President of Freedom Council of Cleveland and National Secretary of the Private Industry Council, Washington, D.C. He was General Manager of Labor Relations at United Telephone of Ohio/Sprint. Mr. Wittman served in the US Army.
Visiting was held on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at St. John the Beloved Catholic Church, 28 Sumter Avenue, Summerville SC. from 11 to 12 o’clock followed by the Funeral Mass at noon.
Visiting will take place on Friday, October 8, 2021, from 10 to 11:30 A.M. at GOLUBSKI FUNERAL HOME, 5986 RIDGE ROAD, PARMA, OHIO 44129. Graveside service at noon at Holy Cross Cemetery, 14609 Brookpark Road, Cleveland, Ohio 44142.
