FR. DENNIS R. GRABOWSKI left for his heavenly home on January 27, 2023, after a lengthy illness. Fr. Dennis was born December 7, 1943 to Leonard F. and Frances R. Grabowski (both deceased) in Cleveland, Ohio. Fr. Dennis worked as a teacher and vice principal before becoming a Deacon in the Roman Catholic Church. He then felt the calling to become a fully ordained priest. Fr. Dennis was ordained May 22, 1976.
Fr. Dennis was a longtime resident of Lakewood, OH and enjoyed traveling. He also worked in the healthcare field and enjoyed especially working as Hospice Chaplain.
Fr. Dennis leaves behind his beloved son Thomas Ryan Grabowski, his brother Kenneth (Terri), many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother, Leonard A. Grabowski. Fr. Dennis was loved and beloved by many people. Along with his son Thomas, he had many long-time devoted friends including Sam Grabowski and Mary Lou Hefling and his loving dog “Brick” who stood guard until the end.
Services 10 a.m. Thursday, February 2, 2023, at GOLUBSKI FUNERAL HOME, 5986 RIDGE RD., PARMA. Funeral Mass 11 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. Interment St. Mary Cemetery (E. 71st Street). Friends received at the funeral home WEDNESDAY 4-8 P.M.
