JEROME ANTHONY PARTYKA

JEROME ANTHONY PARTYKA was born January 30, 1941 and died October 11, 2025.  Jerry passed away at 84 after a 10 year struggle with many illnesses.  He was the son of Stanley and Frances Partyka and brother to Bernice (all deceased.)  He graduated from Benedictine High School and the University of Dayton. He received his Master’s Degree from Cleveland State University.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Delia (Dolly) Partyka (nee Lehman) and his beloved children: twins Mark (Jenae) and Michelle Hillstrom and Julie Malling (Peter). Loving grandfather of Andrew and Laurel Partyka, Kristine Hillstrom and Edward and Nicholas Malling. Dear brother of Victoria (Vicky) Hawke (Richard, deceased). Dear uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Jerry spent his most memorable years during the 80’s at Saint Ignatius High School where he served as Associate Principal of Discipline.  He was respectfully called JP the AP by students and faculty!  He also spent memorable moments as Principal at Archbishop Hogan High School in Akron. Jerry was also employed by the Cleveland and Bedford school systems from where he retired.

Jerry worked part-time at the Cleveland Christian Children’s Home for many years and taught adults at CCC evenings.  He loved his family, all forms of music from jazz to classical, theater, his work and “Gracie” his last pet puppy.

He will be interred at All Saints Cemetery.
