John E. Marks died March 16, 2020. Beloved husband of Constance (nee Michalakes). Loving father of Rachel Chapman and Matthew (Barbara); grandfather of Matthew II (Jasmine), Jacob (Olivia) and great grandfather of Odin Elijah, uncle and great uncle. John was the only child of Irene Brese (nee Brauert) and stepson of Albert Brese (both deceased). Army Veteran who served at the Korean DMZ from 1966 to 1968. John attended Western Reserve University and Cleveland State University. He was self employed over 30 years until Parkinson’s took its toll. John was an avid Cleveland sports fan, enjoyed landscaping, traveling to and hiking in the U.S. National Parks; music, movies, reading, strategist of card games, Scrabble and checkers. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. Interment at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Family suggests memorials to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
