KATHLEEN FRANEY (nee Moehring),
KATHLEEN FRANEY (nee Moehring), passed away surrounded by family on May 12, 2024. Preceded in Heaven by her husband, Martin T. Franey, and parents, Charles and Anna Mae Moehring, Kathy leaves a legacy of love and service.
She is survived by her brothers, Christopher (Nicole), Daniel (Rosemary), Matthew (Patti), Kenneth (Sandy), and sister-in-law, Mary Ann Franey. She was a cherished aunt to Keith, Brian, Thomas, Ashley, Michael, Adam and Kevin, and step-aunt to Melissa Kling, Maci and Evan Lynch. She also welcomed every opportunity to dote on her great nieces and nephews, Avery, Lily, Brantley, Emerson, Logan, Ezzy, Caleb, Briggs, Max and Jack Dominic. She was the beloved godmother of Michelle Villalobos.
Kathy enjoyed a fulfilling and distinguished nursing career. After earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from St. John’s College of Nursing and a Master’s Degree from Case Western Reserve, Kathy held leadership roles at Parma Community General Hospital, St. Vincent Charity Hospital, and the Village of St. Edwards.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on May 20, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Basil the Great Catholic Church, 8700 Brecksville Road, Brecksville, Ohio. Prior to the mass, the family will receive friends at GOLUBSKI FUNERAL HOME, 5986 RIDGE RD, PARMA OHIO 44129 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. Kathy will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
