Michaelene Kobetitsch (nee Ratkowski) age 84, loving mother of Lisa Baumann (Jeff); dear sister of Stanley (deceased) (Martha), Jerome (deceased) (Sharon), Harriet and Henry (deceased); dear daughter of Stanley and Hattie (nee Filipkowski) Ratkowski (both deceased); aunt of Martha Gabrielle Ratkowski, Alison Ramos, Michelle Ratkowski and Jerry Ratkowski. Cherished lifetime friend of Elizabeth Godri; loving pet grandmother.
Michaelene passed peacefully on Thursday, December 29, 2022, with her beloved daughter Lisa and son in law Jeffrey at her bedside, and into Gods loving embrace.
Michaelene, also known to her family and friends as Mike, Mikey and Mickey embraced every moment of her life to the fullest. She had a strong, independent and positive spirit even leading up to her final days.
In her earlier years she loved her work in banking, retiring from Key Bank after 30 years of continued employment. Upon her retirement, she continued to work for the Cuyahoga County Public Library until she was 78 years old. She enjoyed and cherished the friendships she had made through the years and often spoke fondly of those relationships she made while working.
Michaelene enjoyed history, sightseeing and traveling with family and friends, visiting many historic and religious sites as well as Mexico and the Bahamas. Many wonderful memories were made along the way.
Some of her favorite activities included dining out with family and friends, and she was always ready and willing to find new restaurants. She also loved visiting the local wineries and casinos.
She was loved by so many and will be missed dearly.
Services will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at 11:30 A.M. at St. John Bosco Church, 6480 Pearl Rd., Parma Heights, 44130.
