STEVE S. PYTEL, age 87. Beloved husband of Cathy (nee Rak) for 64 years; loving father of Mark (Diana), Mickey (Christina), and Marty (Anita); cherished grandfather of Jeremy (Kim), Brandon, Zachary (Megan), Colin (Bekkah), Lauren, and Matthew; great-grandfather to Jack, Lily, and Elliott; dearest brother of Helen Zbin (Albert, deceased) and Tony (Dorothy) (both deceased); and close friend to many.
Steve was a graduate of West Tech High School in Cleveland. After high school, Steve served in the U.S. Army, before taking a job with United Airlines, where he worked for 33 years. In retirement, he worked at Parma Community General Hospital as a valet in their emergency department. For over 40 years, Steve played Santa Claus, bringing joy to countless friends and family.
The family will receive friends at GOLUBSKI FUNERAL HOME, 5986 RIDGE ROAD, PARMA, 44129 on SUNDAY, AUGUST 18, 2024 from 5-8 PM. Mass to celebrate Steve’s life will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 6750 State Road, Parma, on Monday, August 19, at 10 AM (please meet at church) Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 14609 Brookpark Road, Brook Park.
