SUSAN KAY HARTMAN, of Parma, Ohio, passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 28, 2025, at the age of 59. She was born on January 6, 1966, in Wauseon OH, to her loving parents, Kenneth and Joyce Hartman (both deceased).
Susan is survived by her partner, Shaun Baker, Parma, OH, and their two children, Adrian Baker (Steff) Parma Hts., OH, and Tegan Baker, North Royalton, OH. She also leaves behind three adoring grandchildren, Ava, Liam, and Ja’Nya. Susan is also survived by her siblings, Ellen Hartman (Glenn) of Morrow, OH, Jim (Kathy) Hartman of West Unity, OH, Eli (Chris) Hartman of Belleville, MI, & Linda Richmond of Fayette, OH, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Susan was the Salutatorian for the Class of 1984 for North Central High School in Pioneer, OH.
She was a big sports fan throughout the whole year. Cheering on her Vikings during football season, the Lake Erie Monsters and Parma Flyers during hockey season, and the Guardians (Indians) and Dodgers during baseball season. She loved the Guardians so much she spent 17 of the last 19 years working at the baseball stadium, a testament to her work ethic as well.
She will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family and friends. Susan was always there for those who needed her, her kindness never wavered. She was a regular member of Dover Congregational Church, where she also sang in the choir. She made many trips from Cleveland to watch her nieces and nephews at their sporting events. She also made a point to always try and attend all family gatherings and birthdays. If you couldn’t find her, there was a good chance she was at the ice rink. Whether it was to watch her youngest grandchild learn to figure skate or to watch her two oldest grandchildren play hockey, she was in the stands cheering them on. Susan was somebody you were lucky to know and was loved by so many
While we mourn her passing, let us also celebrate the wonderful life Susan Hartman lived and the lasting impact she had on those around her. A Celebration of Life will take place in the spring.
