Theodore F. “Ted” Plechaty age 79 beloved husband of 57 years of Betty (nee Jurca). Loving father of Renae Gattozzi (Ralph) and T.J. Plechaty (Iris). Cherished “pops” of Louis Gattozzi and fur grandfather of Baxter and Gibson. Dearest brother of GiGi Barr (Chuck) and Diane Kwiatkowski (deceased). Dearest uncle and friend to many. U.S. Army Veteran and a member of the Cleveland Softball Hall of Fame (elected 2007), Local 18 Operating Engineers and a member of VFW Post 1974. He was a diehard Cleveland sports fan and a player/manager for many local teams. Services Monday, Aug. 28, 2017 at 10:15 a.m. at GOLUBSKI FUNERAL HOME 5986 RIDGE RD. PARMA, 44129 and at 11 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Church. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends received Saturday 4-8 p.m. and Sunday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the American Heart Association or the American Lung Association of Cleveland.
