William J. Megesi “Bill”, age 74, U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran, peacefully departed on August 5, 2023 from renal cancer. He was the loving father of five: Bill (Tracy), Jennifer (Poya) Warner-Gharib, Becky, Keith (Kate) and Brad (Dominique); cherished grandfather of nine: Billy, Alex, Zachary, Laney, Nathan, Avery, Connor, Sawyer, and soon to arrive, Francis; and dear brother of Doris Megesi.
Born March 11, 1949 to William F. & Deloris (Lang) Megesi in Cleveland, OH. After graduation from Rhodes High School, he served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. After returning home, he continued his service working for the Army Veterans Administration. He followed with a career of more than 30 years in the airline industry with Eastern, Northwest, and finally retiring from Delta. He was a huge football fan, his favorite being the Ohio State Buckeyes. He adored his friends and family very much. For anyone that met Bill, it was impossible not to love him.
